孟加拉帕德玛大桥

In June 2018, the laying of initial steel girders of the Padma Bridge in Bangladesh was completed. In February 2019, the Tianyi crane ship of MBEC put the 3,000-ton steel beam frame onto the piers. In August 2021, after its first steel beam component was installed, the Ali Khan Bridge, the first steel girder bridge of the railway connection project, was completed. The Padma Bridge, dubbed the “dream bridge” by the people of Bangladesh, not only facilitates transport between 21 areas in southern Bangladesh and the capital of Dhaka, but also connects to the south end of the Pan-Asian Railway linking China and India, thus playing a pivotal role in deepening cooperation between China and South Asian countries. When completed, the bridge will put an end to the history of people depending on ferries to travel between the 21 areas in southern Bangladesh and the capital of Dhaka and serve as an important passage connecting to China and the Pan-Asian Railway.
