The Opening Ceremony of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held at the National Convention Center on April 26^th, 2019. President XI Jinping delivered a keynote speech titled “Working Together to Deliver a Brighter Future for Belt and Road Cooperation”. XI emphasized that Belt and Road cooperation has provided new opportunities for the development of all participating countries, and also opened up new horizon for China’s development and opening up. He called on to stick the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, need to pursue open, green and clean cooperation, as well as high standard cooperation to improve people's lives, promote sustainable development and march forward along the developing direction of high quality. CREC Chairman LI was invited to attend the opening ceremony and welcome banquet.

The Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) attracted nearly 5,000 foreign guests from over 150 countries and 90 international organizations. CREC management attended 7 of the Thematic Forums of the Second BRF on April 25^th.

CREC, as the main force of the Belt and Road cooperation, is operating in more than 90 countries and regions, undertaking many prestigious international projects as Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway, Mohan-Vientiane Railway in Laos, Jakarta-Bandung HSR in Indonesia, Padma Multipurpose Bridge and Rail Link in Bangladesh, Tel Aviv Metro in Israel, and Moscow-Kazan HSR in Russia etc.
