The Benin office of China Railway NO. 5 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. on June 26 attended the ceremony where Chinese businesses made donations to help Benin combat the COVID-19 epidemic. 

The donation ceremony was held in Benin’s Ministry of Health. Those present at the ceremony included Peng Jingtao, Chinese ambassador to Benin, Zhang Bohui, commercial counsellor from the Chinese embassy, Benjamin Hounkpatin, Benin’s Minister of Health, and representatives from Chinese businesses in Benin.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Peng Jingtao and representatives from Chinese businesses handed over the donations to Hounkpatin. Nine Chinese companies including China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. made donations to Benin’s Ministry of Health at the event organized by China’s embassy in the country. China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. donated 5,000 surgical face masks, as well as boxes of hand sanitizers and disinfectants.(By Jin Yutong and Mo Fanbiao)
