The Kazuo-Chifeng High-Speed Railway, the building of which was participated by several CREC subsidiaries, opened on July 1. Connecting eastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with western Liaoning Province, the railway stretches 156 kilometers at a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

Chifeng Station.

After the line opened, the running time for trains between Chifeng and Beijing and between Chifeng and Shenyang shortens to around two hours. Its opening is of great significance to improving the passenger and freight transportation networks in northeast China and to boosting the revitalization of the northeastern industrial base.(By Sun Yu, Luo Yi, Wang Lihong and Liu Lina)
