On September 28, China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association released the List of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises 2020. A total of 265 Chinese state-owned enterprises were named and China Railway Group Limited (CREC) ranked 12th.

In accordance with the international practice, the list uses the operating income of enterprises in 2019 as the shortlisting standard and is released after being examined and approved by the expert committee.
