China-Venezuela Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and Bilateral Entrepreneurial Council meeting was held on September 15 in Beijing. Venezuelan President Maduro attended the forum and delivered a speech. CREC’s President Zhang Zongyan, Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Gao Yan, and the representatives from Chinese and Venezuelan enterprises attended the forum.

CREC was voted as the Chinese Chair of China-Venezuela Bilateral Entrepreneurs Council. CREC’s President Zhang Zongyan, as the only representative of Chinese enterprises, delivered a speech at the forum. He expressed his confidence in Venezuela’s development potential and the bilateral tie between the two nations.

He said, as the Chinese Chair of the council, CREC will fulfill its responsibilities, seeking more bilateral cooperation opportunities for member enterprises, and encourage more Chinese corporates to conduct business in Venezuela in areas of trade, investment, project contracting, etc., so as to strengthen Venezuela’s economic construction, improve the well-being of the two peoples and achieve win-win results.
CREC will further enhance the exchange and cooperation with Venezuela, bringing its whole-chained advantages including survey and design, construction management, investment and development, operation management, to make greater contributions to the infrastructure construction in Venezuela.

On September 14, China Railway No.10 Engineering Group, one of CREC’s subsidiaries, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on iron mining with Venezuelan Ministry of Industry on the 16th High-Level Joint Commission, which is a breakthrough for CREC doing business in Venezuela, and a significant milestone promoting the economic and trade exchanges between the two nations.
