On November 5th, Mr. LI Changjin, Chairman of CREC and Mr. REN Hongpeng, Vice President of CREC met with Mr. Szijjártó, Hungary Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Shanghai during the first China International Import Expo (CIIE). They held an in-depth communication and reached a wide range of consensuses on strengthening the cooperation between China and Hungary in infrastructure construction.

Chairman LI expressed his gratitude to Minister Szijjártó for the meeting out of his tight schedule during the CIIE. During the meeting, Mr. LI introduced CREC and its overseas business, especially the advanced techniques used in the construction of bridges, tunnels and the manufacture of shielding machine. Mr. LI also talked about the major international cooperation projects of CREC under the "Belt and Road" Initiative. He said that CREC is ready to actively participate in the infrastructure construction in Hungary. Mr. LI said he was deeply impressed by the friendly talks with the Minister of National Development of Hungary and Hungarian enterprises during his visit at last August, which strengthened his confidence of cooperation with Hungarian partners in all fields. He emphasized that Hungary is an important partner of China among the countries along the “Belt and Road” side. CREC will optimize its resources in infrastructure construction, including railways, highways, ports, etc. and promote the cooperation with the local enterprises.

Minister Szijjártó highly praised CREC’s strength and its outstanding construction capacity. He noted that China and Hungary is in good relations and enjoys new progress in bilateral cooperation. President XI Jinping also expressed his appreciation for Hungary's efforts in promoting China-CEEC cooperation, when meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán today. The Minister hopes that CREC could work together with Hungary side and promote the cooperation of infrastructure projects.
