China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. received a commendatory letter from the Chinese Embassy to Mongolia on January 28, in which the embassy lauded the efforts of the company’s Mongolia branch in resuming project operations amid ongoing epidemic prevention and control, as well as the dedication and cooperation with the embassy of its project team for the sewage treatment works in Ulaanbaatar and the company’s branch in Mongolia.

The newly-built sewage treatment works in Ulaanbaatar is highly valued by Mongolia’s government. The project was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic in the first half of 2020. To advance it, China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group made use of the “green pass” at the China-Mongolia port authorized by the two countries and sent a total of 46 Chinese workers to Mongolia.

In addition, the project team made anti-epidemic donations to Mongolia’s epidemic response departments on many occasions in 2020. It received two commendatory letters signed by Mongolian deputy prime minister and the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development for its contribution to local epidemic prevention and control and the construction of the sewage treatment works.
