Anthem of CREC—“Trailbreaker”
During the National Day holiday, the overseas staff of China Railway No.10 Engineering Group did not relax for a moment, insisted on hard working, and made every effort to ensure production and operation.
At the project site of Yuyako Salt Lake in Argentina, which is 4037 meters above sea level. This small team of 12 people from China went abroad for the first time and came to the other side of the world, Argentina, the farthest country from China in a straight line. Faced with completely different technical standards and safety and environmental protection requirements, they have done enough homework in advance to strengthen construction organization planning and technical scheme preparation. In severe hypoxia at high altitudes, they prepared oxygen generators, oxygen tanks, and oxygen masks, and when their bodies could not withstand them, they took turns to work in the mountains. The communication conditions on the mountain are poor, so they set up their network communication base stations. Since the start of construction at the end of May, the project construction organization has been carried out in an orderly manner. Up to now, they have completed the acceptance of the first salt pond base. The Mariana Salt Lake project is a milestone in the development of the local and even Argentine mining industry. After the completion of the project, it will effectively promote employment in Salta Province of Argentina, further optimize the local business model and infrastructure construction, and promote cooperation between China and Argentina in the field of new energy and green development to a new height.
Watching a cargo ship loaded with 40,000 tons of manganese ore leave the port of Santana, Brazil, the sea restored a brief calm. Fang Tongliang, staff of the Latin American Branch of the China Railway No.10 Engineering Group felt that he had returned to the Huai River in Huainan, his hometown. This year is the 11th year of Fang Tongliang"s overseas work. This year, based on ensuring risk control, the company has made every effort to overcome the adverse effects of the sharp rise in international shipping costs, continued to rely on iron ore trade, closely tracked alumina and liquid caustic soda, explored opportunities for cooperation, increased trade share, expanded trade categories, and realized alumina, liquid caustic soda, copper ore, and methanol. It has expanded two-way trade between China and Latin America. During National Day, Fang Tongliang and his family made a video call, and this time he went abroad for almost a year. For Tongliang, the understanding and support of his family are his greatest comfort.
