On March 18, the Hong Kong High-speed Railway Maintenance Project Department of The First Engineering Bureau of CREC, in conjunction with other project constructors in the Hong Kong area, successfully replaced 260 meters of rails in 3 hours and 30 minutes, creating the longest rail replacement record for Hong Kong High-speed Railway.
Hong Kong's high-speed rail has operated for six years since April 2018. With the increased operation time, there are more and more track problems. The rail replacement location is the West Kowloon Station of the Hong Kong High-speed Railway. Before the replacement, the radius of the curve is 300 meters outside the line. Due to the small radius of the curve, the side wear of the rail is seriously damaged. According to the development trend of the side wear of the rail in this section, the project department has promptly put forward the replacement proposal and plan to the owner. It laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the work.
