From a groundbreaker in railway construction after the New China was founded to an industry leader in infrastructure development in the new era, CREC has always been a trailblazer in making the Chinese dream of achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation come true.

　　Since CREC was awarded the title of “trailblazer” by the older generation of state leaders Deng Xiaoping and He Long in the early 1950s, hundreds of thousands of employees of the group have made extraordinary achievements in improving transportation infrastructure of China, especially the railway construction. The spirit of trailblazer has been embodied in the fighting spirit of veterans in the revolutionary era and the devotion of builders of the New China. The spirit of trailblazer is also represented by the unwavering dedication of CREC employees in constructing numerous railways, including the Chengdu-Chongqing railway, the rail route built during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the Baoji-Chengdu railway, the Chengdu-Kunming railway, the Dayao Mountain Rail Tunnel, the Lanzhou-Xinjiang railway, the Baoji-Zhongwei railway, the Beijing–Kowloon railway, the Nanning-Kunming railway, the Fenghuo Mountain Rail Tunnel, and the Qinghai–Tibet railway. In recent decade, the spirit of trailblazer has been kindled in the construction of China’s research stations in Antarctica, disaster relief operation, and the development of homegrown HSR. On January 16, 2019, Chinese President Xi Jinping noted that CREC builders of the Beijing-Xiong’an Intercity Railway had made pioneering efforts and significant contribution to the development of the Xiong’an New Area, a modern metropolis of the new millennium.
