The New Selander Sea-crossing Bridge is located in Dar es Salaam and spans the Oyster Bay. Connecting the existing CBD area with the Coco Beach, the structure is a five-tower cable-stayed bridge and consists of a main bridge, two approach bridges and two approach lanes at each side. The bridge measures 1,030 meters long, and the approach lanes are six kilometers in length. The width of the bridge is 20.5 meters and the approach lanes are 15.5 meters wide. The bridge has four two-way lanes flanked by 1.5-meter-wide sidewalks.

The main bridge tower sits in the middle and is shaped like a torch. Inspired by the national emblem of Tanzania, the side towers are built symmetrically in the shape of raising hands, which symbolizes freedom and peace. Due to its unique geographic location and symbolic significance, the bridge has become a landmark of the city and an attraction for citizens and tourists alike.
