On September 23, a 7-meter-long ship sailed through the world's largest span steel aqueduct constructed by the China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group, the steel aqueduct of the main canal of the water diversion from the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River in Anhui Province, marking the formal navigation of the steel aqueducts.

The aqueduct of the central canal of the water diversion from the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River is an important water supply channel for Hefei and Lu'an, which is more than 30 meters higher than the water diversion channel from the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River. The total length of the aqueduct is 350 meters, of which the steel aqueduct is 246 meters long, with a total weight of about 21000 tons. The design flow is 150 cubic meters per second, the water depth is 4.0 meters, and it is a class VI channel with 100 tons of ships. The main span is 110 meters, the largest steel aqueduct in the world. Construction started in December 2018, and the overall closure was completed on November 5, 2020.
