On January 12, 2021, Ren Hongpeng, vice president of CREC, held talks with Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to China, at the headquarters of the company. The two sides conducted in-depth talks and exchanged views on related matters before reaching general consensus.

Ren Hongpeng welcomed the visit of Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun, and briefed on the general situation of the CREC and the progress of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail in Indonesia. He said that during the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, CREC led all the Chinese and Indonesian employees to engage in comprehensive epidemic prevention, and spared no effort to continue the construction project, with important progress achieved amid the pandemic.

Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun expressed appreciation to the warm reception given by CREC. He said that the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail is a project of great concern to the heads of state of both China and Indonesia. He noted that the Jabahn-Bandung high-speed rail remains a topic at high-level meetings for the Indonesian president and ministers. The Indonesian people also have high expectations for the railway. Since entering the Indonesian market, CREC has made great contributions to promoting the economic and social development of Indonesia and has been committed to upgrading the country’s infrastructure.
