12 Thematic Forums of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation were held in Beijing on April 25th, 2019, gathering thousands of guests from all over the world to share ideas and exert efforts for promoting the Belt and Road Initiative (hereinafter referred to as BRI), focusing on Policy Coordination, Infrastructure Connectivity, Financial Integration, Digital Silk Road, Green Silk Road, etc.

The Thematic Forum on Policy Coordination
CREC Chairman LI Changjin attended the Thematic Forum on Policy Coordination on the morning of April 25th. It was hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) with the theme of “Strengthening Cooperation and Pushing forward BRI towards Higher Level”. LI received an on-the-spot interview regarding CREC’s achievement under the BRI and the practices CREC adopted as well as its further steps in promoting policy coordination.

The Thematic Forum on Infrastructure Connectivity
On the afternoon of April 25th, with the theme of “Safe, Convenient, Intelligent and Efficient”, Chairman LI attended the Thematic Forum on Infrastructure Connectivity, which was co-hosted by NDRC and the Ministry of Transport. In his interview, combined with CREC's major projects under the BRI, LI shared the achievements the Company has made in infrastructure connectivity.
Chairman LI submitted the Feasibility Study Report (Intermediate-Technical Part) on Muse-Mandalay Railway to U Thant Sin Maung, Minister of Transport and Communications of Myanmar, on the Forum.
Li also submitted the Russian-Chinese Railway Dictionary, edited by China Railway ERYUAN Engineering Group, a subsidiary of CREC, to Sarin, Russian Railway Corporation's Deputy President, injecting new impetus to the infrastructure construction under the BRI.
