With a total length of 422.4 kilometers, the China-Laos railway has 32 train stations in total, 10 of which are for passengers. The three new stations being completed were all located in Oudomxay Province, Laos. The Muang Xay Station was designed by integrating the features of local folk dwellings and the distinctive roof for ancient Chinese palaces. The style of the Muang Nga Station is also a combination of Chinese traditional architecture and local dwellings. The longest distance between the stations is 70 kilometers. The local wavy terrain made the construction extremely difficult. (By Shen Jian)
