On January 3, the head of the Tanzania Branch of China Railway Seventh Group and the Tanzania National Highway Authority director jointly signed the construction contract for the MPIJI Bridge and ancillary road upgrading project.
The project, funded by the Tanzanian government, is located in the coastal province, about 50 kilometers from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's economic capital. The total length of the bridge is 140 meters, with a total design of 7 meters. The ancillary road is 2.3 km long and is designed as an asphalt concrete pavement.
At the signing ceremony, the director of Tanzania National Highway Authority highly affirmed the quality of the past projects constructed by China Railway Seventh Group Tanzania Branch and expressed the hope that China Railway Seventh Group would continue cooperating with Tanzania National Highway Authority to make more and better projects.
