On April 19, the main project of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, in which China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group participated, passed the completion acceptance organized by the Ministry of Transport, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Hong Kong and Macao Office of the State Council. According to the evaluation of the completion acceptance committee, the main project of the bridge has made many world records, and the quality grade and comprehensive evaluation grade of the project are excellent.
The 55-kilometer-long Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge spans the Lingdingyang Sea, connecting the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in the east, the Zhuhai City of Guangdong Province, and the Macao Special Administrative Region in the west. It is the first super-large cross-sea transportation project jointly constructed by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao under the "one country, two systems" framework. It is a national project to promote the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. On October 23, 2018, President Xi announced the official opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and visited the bridge.
