Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway official begins operation

On October 2, local time, Indonesian President Joko announced the official opening of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway at the Halim high-speed railway station in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway connects Jakarta and Bandung, the capital of Indonesia, with a total length of 142 kilometers and a designed maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is the first time that China's high-speed railway has landed overseas in the whole system, all elements and the whole industry chain. The China-Indonesia High-speed Railway Company(KCIC), a joint venture between China and Indonesia, is responsible for investment, construction and operation.

CREC, as the main Chinese participating enterprise and the largest shareholder of the Sino-Indonesian consortium, has constructed the DK85-142 section of the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, which is 57 kilometers long, including part of the roadbed, most of the bridges and all the tunnels, and the power and electrification projects. Tegalluar Station, Tegalluar EMU Station, No.6 Tunnel with the longest line, No.10 Tunnel with the highest construction risk and No.4 Beam Yard with the largest scale, and supported the construction of Padalalang Station and other projects.

As the main force in the construction of Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, CREC has gathered the superior resources of China Railway No.3 Engineering Group, China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group, China Railway Electrification Engineering Group, China Railway Hi-Tech Industry and other units, given full play to its rich construction experience and brand advantages in the field of large-scale infrastructure and high-speed railway construction, organized scientifically and overcome difficulties, and took the lead in completing the first blasting, the first pile, the first pier and the first beam in the construction of the whole line. While successfully completing its own construction tasks, according to the requirements of the two governments, it has carried out the supporting construction tasks of roadbed ancillary, girder erection and Padalalang Station.
