On the morning of December 25, the Heze section of the Puyang-Yangxin expressway invested by China Railway was put into operation.
Puyang-Yangxin Expressway starts from Puyang, Henan Province, passes through Henan, Shandong and Anhui, and reaches Yangxin, Hubei Province, with a total length of about 700 kilometers, passing through 23 counties and cities. Heze Section is invested, constructed and operated by a consortium led by CREC in the BOT mode. China Railway(Shanghai)Investment Group is responsible for the construction management, and China Railway No.10 Engineering Group participates in the construction. This section is located in Heze City, passing through Juancheng County, Mudan District, Luxi New District and Caoxian County of Heze City from north to south, with a total length of 66.9 kilometers. It adopts the standard construction of two-way four-lane expressway with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
The Heze section of the Puxin Expressway is an integral part of the main framework of Shandong Province's expressway network planning. It is a crucial construction project of the Shandong Provincial Government. After its completion and opening to traffic, a fast transport corridor has been added between Shandong and Henan, effectively improving the level of the regional expressway network.
