On April 10, the first steel tower of the Z3 main tower pier of Maanshan Yangtze River Bridge on the Chao-Ma Intercity Railway, which China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group constructed, was successfully hoisted in place, marking that the bridge tower entered the construction stage of the upper tower column.
The upper layer of the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Bridge is a two-way six-lane urban expressway, and the lower layer is a four-lane railway. The bridge is designed with three towers and two main spans, both over kilometers, and the continuous span of the two spans is 2,240 meters. It is the largest cable-stayed bridge with three towers and two main spans worldwide and the first cable-stayed bridge with two main spans over kilometers worldwide.
