On March 3, CREC Baiyun Trailbreaker, a super-large diameter (14.31 meters) slurry balance shield machine jointly developed by China Railway Tunnel Group and China Railway Hi-Tech Industry, was launched in China Railway Engineering Equipment Group. It will be used for Guangzhou Baiyun Airport T3 Transportation Hub Rail Transit Reservation Project "Two Intercities, Two High-speed Railways" in Guangzhou-Zhuhai (Macao) High-speed Railway Shield Section 1476 meters single-track tunnel excavation. The tailor-made "CREC Baiyun Trailbreaker" adopts the design of a "normal pressure cutter head + single-mode dual-channel" and is equipped with several adaptive systems, which provide a guarantee for safe, high-quality, and rapid construction. It is 115 meters long and weighs more than 3600 tons. The equipment will pass through the airport flight area and other buildings in the process of excavation, and the surface settlement is strictly controlled, so higher requirements are put forward for the performance of the equipment.
