Recently, with the completion of the Mubanling Tunnel, an extra-long tunnel constructed by Shanghai Civil Engineering Co,.Ltd. Of CREC, the second phase of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway Tunnel has been completed.
Mubanling Tunnel connects Tonglu County of Hangzhou City and Pujiang County of Jinhua City, with a total length of 10.24 kilometers and a maximum buried depth of 619 meters. It passes through 5 fault zones and 11 joint-intensive zones. The tunnel site is rich in groundwater, and some sections are high stress areas and located in ecological protection areas, so comprehensive construction is difficult.
The Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway is about 331 kilometers long, divided into two phases of construction, the first phase of the Yiwu-Wenzhou section, the second phase of the Hangzhou-Yiwu section is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in June 2024. The total length of the second phase is about 58 kilometers, 21 new tunnels are 39.158 kilometers, and 9 of them are 24.038 kilometers constructed by Shanghai Civil Engineering Co,.Ltd. Of CREC.
