Source: Date:2023年11月14日

On September 28, the new Rainbow Bridge on the North Third Ring Road of Zhengzhou, the largest railway marshalling station in Asia, was officially opened to traffic by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group and China Railway Hi-Tech Industry.

The newly built Rainbow Bridge on the North Third Ring Road in Zhengzhou has a middle arch height of 36 meters, a side arch height of 20 meters, a deck width of 38 meters, eight lanes in both directions and a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The south and north sides of the east end of the main bridge are connected to the WN, WS, SW, and NW interchange ramp bridges of the Beijing-Guangzhou Expressway. The bridge spans the Zhengzhou North Railway Station, Asia's largest and busiest railway marshalling station. It is the widest through steel box tied arch bridge with single arch rib and double cable planes in the same type of bridges spanning railway marshalling stations in China. It has the characteristics of a wide deck, large incremental launching span, large arch span, and large rise-span ratio.

The opening of the new Rainbow Bridge in Zhengzhou will further improve the structure of the expressway network in Zhengzhou, strengthen the connection between the central urban area and the surrounding areas, significantly relieve the traffic pressure of the east-west direction of the North Third Ring Road, expand the "artery" of Zhengzhou's active economy, accelerate the construction of Zhengzhou National Central City, and promote the development of along the line.
