CREC Participated in the Design and Construction of the Closure of the World's First Double-deck Swivel Steel Truss Bridge

On January 4, China Railway No.10 Engineering Group participated in the design and construction of the world's first double-deck swivel steel truss bridge, the main bridge of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway from Dongguan to Panyu expressway.

The bridge is a double-deck highway with a continuous steel truss-plate-truss composite structure. The upper layer is Guan-Fan Expressway, and the lower layer is the Huan-Guan Expressway, designed according to the standards of a two-way 8-lane expressway and a two-way 6-lane urban expressway. The bridge is 170 meters long, with a swivel weight of 29,000 tons. It is adjacent to the busy Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Railway, with high safety requirements and complex construction. It is one of the critical control projects of the Dongguan to Panyu Expressway.

Dongguan to Panyu Expressway is a critical project in Guangdong Province. It connects the completed Nansha Bridge in the west and the Huiguan expressway in the east. It is an integral part of the Guanglong expressway, a significant passageway out of the province. It connects the Panyu District of Guangzhou City on the West Bank of the Pearl River and Dongguan on the East Bank of the Pearl River. After completing the whole line, it will become another critical east-west in the Pearl River Delta region. It is of great practical significance to improve the interconnection level of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
