On December 30, 2022, with the first drop of saline injected into the H51 Salt Lake Evaporation Pond, the first Salt Lake Evaporation Pond of the Yueyako Salt Lake Project in Argentina, which was constructed by the China Railway No.10 Engineering Group, was officially put into use. The H51 Salt Lake Evaporation Pond has a capacity of 1 billion liters and is the largest single salt lake evaporation pond in the Yuyeyako Project.

The Yuyako Salt Lake Project is located in the "South American Lithium Belt" in the Mariana region of the Andes in northwestern Argentina. It is one of the most promising salt flats in the area. Since the start of construction in May 2022, the project department of the China Railway No.10 Engineering Group has invested in 110 sets of equipment, such as bulldozers, milling machines, and excavators, and organized more than 400 construction workers at the construction site of the Puna Plateau in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of about 4000 meters, and finally completed the construction task on schedule.

Yuyako Salt Lake Project is the first infrastructure project of China Railway in Argentina, which is of great significance to the further development of Argentina's lithium power industry.
