Wuhan Changfeng Bridge Upgrading and Reconstruction Project
On September 29, the three ring sections of Wuhan Baishazhou Avenue Expressway Reconstruction Project, Changfeng Bridge Upgrading and Renovation Project and Forehead Bay Interchange Reconstruction Project, which were participated by China Railway Hi-Tech Industry, were opened to traffic successively.
Located at the "South Gate" of Wuhan City, the Baishazhou Avenue Rapid Reconstruction Project connects the Third Ring Road with the Qingzheng Expressway and Jiangxia Zhifang Expressway. It is constructed in the "mainline viaduct + ground auxiliary road" mode. The main line bridge is 2.46 kilometers long and is the first prefabricated bridge project in Wuhan City. Changfeng Bridge Renovation Project and Etouwan Interchange Renovation Project are open to traffic on the same day. Changfeng Bridge is a super-large concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge between Qiaokou Rudder and Huangjinkou in Hanyang, spanning the Hanjiang River, with a total length of 1130 meters. It is the main project of the West Ring Road of the Third Ring Road in Wuhan. Etouwan Interchange is located at the junction of Dongxihu District and Qiaokou District, with a total length of 0.93 kilometers from east to west and 1.54 kilometers from north to south (Third Ring Road), totaling 9 ramps.
In three projects, CREC participated in constructing a steel girder, steel-concrete composite beam, and ancillary works. These traffic nodes were opened up to divert Wuhan transit vehicles and alleviate urban traffic pressure effectively.
