On September 29, the Second Ring Road Reconstruction Project of Weiyuan County, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, which China Railway No.5 Engineering Group constructed, was put into trial operation two months ahead of schedule.
The reconstruction project is located on the north side of Weiyuan County, with a total length of about 2 kilometers. The designed road width is 52.5 meters, including sidewalks of 11.5 meters on the south side and 4 meters on the north side, 32 meters for carriageways, a central 5-meter isolation belt, bidirectional eight lanes, and a design speed of 50 kilometers per hour.
The project is an important hub in the north of Weiyuan City, which will effectively alleviate the traffic pressure in the urban area and boost the economic development of Weiyuan.
