Recently, CREC 1206, developed and manufactured by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group, a subsidiary of CREC, completed the excavation of two underground healthy pump houses in the main tunnel of Beijing Metro Line 17, marking the successful application of the first recyclable underground well boring machine in China and creating a new mode of mechanized construction of underground well pump houses in the metro.
Traditional subway pump houses are mostly constructed by freezing method, which has the disadvantages of low mechanization, high labor consumption, long construction period, and high excavation risk. To effectively solve a series of construction problems, China Railway Engineering Equipment Group initiated the "underground tunneling machine mechanical method" to construct the subway pump house, which effectively overcomes the drawbacks of the traditional freezing method, makes the construction of the subway pump house more efficient and safer, and has far-reaching significance for promoting the technological progress of underground space construction.
