Recently, the Nepal Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Tunnel Project jointly constructed by China Overseas Engineering Group and China Railway No.2 Group achieved another success. It took only 30 days to complete the trial excavation of 500 meters after the TBM was launched, breaking the record of 45 days to complete the trial excavation of 500 meters set by the project team in the Baribabei Diversion Tunnel Project in Nepal, and creating a world record of 6-meter double-shield TBM trial excavation.
In order to ensure the progress of construction, the project department held a special meeting on the production of labor competition in the fourth quarter of the decisive battle before the start of TBM, refining and decomposing the implementation of production factors, and taking the monthly tunneling indicators completed by the tunnel as a quantitative assessment department. Then the production target was extended to each post, the tunneling index was decomposed into months, ten days and days, and a competition atmosphere of daring to think, dare to fight and capable was created among the staff. During the trial tunneling period, the commissioning and installation of reaction frame, turnout and fan were completed synchronously, and the highest daily footage was 36.58 meters, the highest weekly footage was 224.56 meters, and the average daily footage was 20.32 meters.
