On January 11, the world's first hard rock mud-water balanced top shield machine "CREC 1268" developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group, a subsidiary of China Railway Hi-Tech Industry, was successfully launched in Nanchang production base. The equipment innovatively adopts the design concept of "pipe jacking + shield", which can effectively meet the special requirements of Trenchless, small diameter, long distance and curve jacking in the construction of urban underground pipeline network, and is of great significance to enhance the mechanization construction of urban underground pipeline network.
"CREC 1268" with an excavation diameter of 3.68 meters will be used for the construction of the Taohualing Mountain Tunnel of Changsha's key livelihood project - Changsha Leifeng Water Plant Raw Water Pipeline Project. In view of the special working conditions that cannot be met by ultra-long-distance boring, ultra-hard rock formation and traditional pipe jacking of the project, China Railway Engineering Equipment Group cooperated with all parties involved in the construction to innovatively equip "CREC 1268" with super-hard rock composite cutterhead and adopt the construction mode of "pipe jacking first, backing machine", which effectively coped with the construction problems of the project.
The successful offline of "CREC 1268" top shield machine has realized the collaborative innovation of equipment and construction methods, and provided a new solution for the development of underground space. This method can also be widely used in the construction of underground pipelines such as urban drainage, electricity and gas, so as to better serve the construction of sponge cities and urban renewal and transformation.
