Recently, the large aircraft ground dynamics test platform built by the China Railway No.5 Engineering Group successfully opened in Changsha and achieved complete success.
The giant aircraft ground dynamics test platform is a major scientific and technological infrastructure to simulate the characteristics of aircraft ground dynamics. It will be equipped with two sets of test platforms: a slide rail bench system and a vehicle-mounted bench system. It is the first test platform in China that can test the high-speed dynamic characteristics and large sideslip angle dynamic characteristics of various aircraft tires, wheel brake systems, and landing gear systems on multiple pavements.
The project started in 2021, adopting the general contracting mode of design and construction, and was implemented by a consortium composed of China Railway No.5 Engineering Group (the leading party) and Hunan Central South University Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd. The net land area of the project is 23,158.97 square meters, which is constructed in two phases, of which the first phase covers an area of 10,803.96 square meters.
