
On the morning of April 18, local time, the KAGBELEN overpass, a municipal road project in Guinea contracted by China Railway No.5 Engineering Group Co., Ltd, was completed and opened to traffic. Mamadi Dumbuya, President of the Transitional Government of Guinea; Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, on a state visit to Guinea; Barry, Minister of Infrastructure and Public Works of Guinea; and Huang Wei, Chinese Ambassador to Guinea, attended the opening ceremony.
The municipal road project in Guinea includes the reconstruction and reconstruction of municipal roads and the construction of two new overpasses in the suburbs. The construction sections are distributed in KALOUM, DIXINN, MATAM, and MATOTO districts in Conakry City. The owner is the Ministry of Public Works of the Government of the Republic of Guinea. The KAGBELEN overpass is 128 meters long and 13.4 meters wide among them. It is a two-way four-lane bridge. The central transportation hub connects the capital Conakry and the inland areas. After opening to traffic, it will significantly ease the traffic pressure in the capital and has great strategic significance for boosting the rapid economic development of Guinea.
