Source: Date:2023年11月18日

On September 26, the south main tower of the 350-meter-high Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, the world's highest cable-stayed bridge tower under construction by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, was capped and the diamond-shaped tower stood in the rolling Yangtze River, which was magnificent.

The Changtai Yangtze River Bridge connects Changzhou and Taizhou, with a total length of 10.03 kilometers, including a 5.3-kilometer dual-use highway and railway section. It is the world's first river-crossing channel integrating expressway, inter-city railway and ordinary highway. The main channel bridge with a main span of 1,208 meters is the world's largest span steel truss cable-stayed bridge. Construction of the bridge started in October 2019 and is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2025.
