On January 4, the main bridge tower of the Shanbanqiao Road Reconstruction Project, designed by Chengdu Company of China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group, was successfully capped.
With a total length of 283 meters, a width of 35 meters, and a swivel weight of 30,000 tons, the bridge is the first single-tower cable-stayed bridge without backstays constructed by swivel in China. The tower is 128 meters high, China's highest single-tower swivel cable-stayed bridge. The bridge is located 4.5 kilometers north of Chengdu East Railway Station. The line is arranged in parallel with the Chengdu-Nanchong Expressway and intersects with the existing railway at an angle of about 66 degrees. The intersection crosses ten railway lines.
After the completion of the transformation project of Shanbanqiao Road, it can be connected to Chengdu-Nanchong Expressway, Chengdu-Anyue-Chongqing Expressway and Chengba Road, and it can also connect the second ring road, the central ring road and the third ring road of Chengdu. It is of great significance to improve the travel conditions of citizens.
