On February 29, China Railway Electrification Engineering Group successfully erected the first contact line of Xuancheng-Jixi high-speed railway between Xuancheng and Ningguo in Anhui Province, marking that the project has entered the construction stage of catenary system networking.
Xuancheng-Jixi High-speed Railway is located in the mountainous area of southern Anhui Province, with a total length of 111.6 kilometers, a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, 2,376 pillars and 287.6 kilometers of contact lines. The whole line has three stations, Xuancheng, Ningguo South and Jixi North, of which Xuancheng and Jixi North are existing passenger stations.
It is reported that Xuancheng-Jixi High-speed Railway is an important part of the Jiangsu-Anhui-Jiangxi Express Railway Corridor and the inter-city railway network in the Wanjiang area, and is the backbone line of the Yangtze River Delta inter-city rail transit network. After the completion and operation of the project, it will further improve the layout of the regional road network, shorten the space-time distance between Jiangsu, Anhui and Jiangxi, which is of great significance for the development of tourism resources along the line, the promotion of the construction of the Southern Anhui International Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone and the promotion of the coordinated development of regional economy.
