World's Largest Sectional Composite Rectangular Shield Jacket Machine Successfully Completes First Tunneling Journey
Source: Date:2023年09月06日

On August 22, the world's largest cross-section combined rectangular shield pipe jacking machine "Dayu Tunneling (CREC 1179)" jointly developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group and other units under China Railway Hi-Tech Industry completed the left line tunneling of Shasan Station Project, Phase II of Shenzhen Metro Line 12.

This is the first time in the world that the super-large cross-section tunneling machinery has been applied to the construction of underground excavation subway stations, which has realized a major innovation in the construction method of subway stations and provided a new solution for the construction of modern urban agglomerations and the safe, green and efficient construction of underground space in China.

Shasan Station is located at the intersection of Ditang Road and Shajing Street (Planned Shajing Road) in Bao'an District, Shenzhen. It is a two-storey underground island platform station with a total length of 208.4 meters and a shaped station section of 22.6 meters × 13.5 meters. The cross-sectional area is about three-quarters the size of a standard basketball court, with four entrances and exits. The ground condition is complex, with abundant groundwater and soft upper and hard lower soil.

According to the characteristics of the project, the research and development team tailored "CREC 1179" rectangular shield tunneling machine for it. The equipment is 11.29 meters wide and 13.55 meters high, composed of two vertically combined devices. The equipment uses a multi-drum layout and multiple spiral machines in coordination control. Micro-step excavation technology, posture measurement, and control technology realize shallow overburden, large section, and zero-gap excavation functions, effectively guaranteeing the project's safe, high-quality, and efficient construction.
