The Fuxian Tunnel is located in Jiaodao Town and Fucheng Street of Fuxian County in Yan'an City, totaling 16.29 kilometers. It is the second longest tunnel in the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway and a critical control project for the line, classified as a Level II risk tunnel. The tunnel's geological conditions and surrounding environment are complex, with long sections at the interface between soil and rock and expansive rock areas. The route also passes beneath oil and gas pipelines, highways, villages, ponds, and shallow valleys, posing high risks of collapses and cave-ins during excavation. The construction is highly challenging and requires stringent settlement control measures. The Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway spans approximately 300 kilometers. Completing this railway will reduce the travel time between Xi'an and Yan'an from two and a half hours to about one hour.
