On July 19, the main tower of the Ziyun Bridge in Fengcheng, Jiangxi Province, constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, was topped out, laying a solid foundation for the full completion of the bridge.
The Ziyun Bridge is designed as a dual-tower, dual-cable plane, self-anchored suspension bridge with a combined beam structure, featuring six lanes in both directions and a 60 km/h speed limit. The main bridge is 460 meters long. The bridge tower adopts a teardrop-shaped steel-concrete composite structure, integrating design concepts of "Fengcheng mountains and rivers, teardrop shape, porcelain culture, and Fengcheng sword spirit." The total height of the bridge tower is 99.9 meters, with the lower tower column made of concrete and the upper tower column made of steel.
The steel structure of the main tower is divided into one lower beam and 28 segments, with a total of 58 hoisting segments for the entire bridge. The largest hoisting segment of the steel tower weighs approximately 64.2 tons. Given the large scale, complex structure, high technical content, significant construction difficulty, and high safety risks of the main tower, the project team actively optimized the construction plan, enhanced resource allocation, and strengthened design and construction coordination, overcoming on-site construction challenges.
