On July 20, local time, the opening ceremony of the 41 km road project in Guinea was held by the China Railway Seventh Group. The Prime Minister of the National Transitional Government of Guinea, Amadou Oury Bah, the Minister of Infrastructure and Public Works, the Governor of the Boke Region, the Director of the National Highway Authority and other government officials, as well as the representative of the African Development Bank and the Ambassador of the European Union to Guinea, attended the ceremony.
In his speech, Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bahsaid that the project is the main corridor between Guinea and Guinea-Bissau. Implementing the project will greatly promote the commercial development of the Boke region and improve the local traffic conditions, providing more opportunities for the regional development of Guinea.
Minister Diallo promised the Prime Minister that the project would be completed on schedule and of good quality and expressed confidence in China Railway Seventh Group's timely and high-quality performance.
The 41km road project in Guinea is located in the Boke region. It is the second section of the No.3 National Highway connecting the city of Boke in Guinea to Guinea-Bissau. The construction includes a 41km asphalt concrete road, a 141km red earth road, and a 255-meter-long bridge.
