Southwest China’s Widest Rotating Bridge Successfully Rotated

On July 24, the double-girder rigid-frame bridge over the Chengdu-Kunming Railway, part of the S428 Mei Mountain Ring Road South Loop project, successfully completed its rotation after over 60 minutes of continuous and tense operations. The project is co-constructed by China Railway No.8 Engineering Group and China Railway Academy Co,.Ltd. Southwest Research Branch.

The S428 Mei Mountain Ring Road South Loop project is located in Songjiang Town, Mei Mountain City. The successfully rotated double-girder bridges are both T-shaped rigid-frame bridges, with a total bridge deck width of 67.5 meters, making them the widest rotating bridges in Southwest China.
