On January 15, the erection of the steel girder of the middle approach bridge of the T4 contract section of the Huangmaohai Sea-Crossing Passage of the West Extension Line of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge contracted by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group was completed, and the Huangmaohai Bridge and Gaolan Port Bridge were successfully connected. Huangmaohai Sea-Crossing Passage is mainly composed of Huangmaohai Bridge and Gaolan Port Bridge. The middle approach bridge connects the two bridges, with a total length of 1600 meters. The upper structure is a ship-shaped steel box with a continuous girder with equal sections. There are 32 segments in total. The size of a single segment is 77 meters to 123 meters, and the weight is 937 tons to 1340 tons. The whole segment is manufactured in the factory and transported to the bridge site for erection.
