On January 10, local time, the production of the 9505 ring segments of the Nepal Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Tunnel Project, jointly constructed by China Railway No.2 Group and China Overseas Engineering Group, was completed, marking the successful completion of the production task of the 13.3 km TBM diversion tunnel segments of the project.
A total of 9505 ring segments are required to be produced for the Sunkoshi Marin TBM Headrace Tunnel Project. The structure of the diversion tunnel is designed to be a lining structure with two trapezoids and four rhombic rings. The segments are connected by positioning pins in the longitudinal direction and guide rods and bolts in the circumferential direction to meet the requirements of longitudinal staggered joint assembly of segments, enhance the rigidity and stability of the segment structure, and retain the design of the gutter and track platform.
