On January 12, the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge Project, designed by CREC Bridge Institute, constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance & Design Institute, and built by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group and China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group was successfully closed on the Lu'anzhou Special channel bridge on the Changzhou side.
Changtai Yangtze River Bridge is the world's first river-crossing channel integrating expressway, inter-city railway, and ordinary highway, connecting Changzhou and Taizhou in Jiangsu Province. In addition to the main channel bridge, which has a main span of 1208 meters, there are special channel bridges in Lu'anzhou, Changzhou, Tianxingzhou, and Taizhou. Like the main channel bridge, the closed Lu'anzhou special channel bridge is asymmetrically arranged with a main span of 388 meters. It is the world's most significant span highway and railway dual-purpose steel truss arch bridge.
