On January 15, the first inspection train left Huangshan North Railway Station, officially launching the Chizhou-Huangshan High-speed Railway, which was participated by China Railway Electrification Engineering Group.
Chizhou-Huangshan High-speed Railway is an integral part of the Wuhan-Hangzhou High-speed Railway Corridor, located south of Anhui Province. The line starts from Chizhou Station and connects with Huangshan North Station, with a total length of about 125 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Chizhou, Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan West, Yixian East, Huangshan North and other stations exist. China Railway Electrification Engineering Group is responsible for constructing communication, signal, power, traction power supply, housing construction, disaster prevention, sound barrier, and other specialties of the Chizhou-Huangshan High-speed Railway.
It is reported that after the completion and opening of Chizhou-Huangshan Railway, it will become a golden tourist route connecting the core scenic spots of two mountains and one lake (Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan Mountain and Taiping Lake) in southern Anhui, which is of great significance for improving the layout of regional railway network, speeding up the construction of international cultural tourism demonstration zones in southern Anhui, and promoting the coordinated development of economy and society along the line.
