On July 20, China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group completed the Tongjiang River Bridge, one of the control projects of the Guangyuan-Mianyang Section Expansion Project of the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway.
Tongjiang River Bridge is located in Baiqing Village and Huanlong Village, in Xuzhou Town, Zitong County, Mianyang City, with a total length of 1398 meters, a total width of 34.5 meters, and a two-way six-lane design. The bridge crosses Tongjiang River and S209 Provincial Highway, and 392 T-beams need to be erected. The main span is 180 meters long, using a continuous rigid frame + prestressed simply supported T beam structure, which is the largest span bridge project of rigid frame continuous beam in the whole line.
The Guangyuan-Mianyang expansion project of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway is about 124 kilometers long. After completion, it will alleviate the traffic pressure of the Guangyuan-Mianyang section of G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway and enhance the service capacity of the comprehensive transport corridor from north to Sichuan. Speeding up the construction of a modern comprehensive transport system in Sichuan Province, building a regional transport corridor, and promoting the integration of transportation and tourism are significant.
