On June 24, Chen Wenjian, Chairman of CREC, held talks in Tianjin with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who was in China to attend the Summer Davos Forum. The two sides had in-depth discussions on further deepening cooperation in Vietnam’s infrastructure sector and reached broad consensus.

Chen expressed gratitude to the Vietnamese government for its long-standing trust and support for CREC, and gave a brief introduction of the company’s overall profile, international operations, and particularly its business activities in Vietnam. He noted that CREC has long been committed to innovation and development in the global infrastructure sector and has completed major projects in Vietnam, including the Hanoi light rail, which have boosted the local economy and improved people’s livelihoods. Moving forward, CREC is willing to continue leveraging its full industrial chain advantages, deepen cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises, improve local employee training models, and contribute to upgrading Vietnam’s infrastructure, aiming for win-win cooperation.

Pham Minh Chinh stated that the Vietnamese government has always prioritized infrastructure development as a key driver of socio-economic progress and public welfare, launching a number of major projects. He emphasized the strategic importance of CREC’s Hanoi light rail project in boosting regional economic development. He expressed hope that CREC would continue to actively participate in Vietnam’s major infrastructure initiatives and assist in building a more modern and intelligent infrastructure system. The Vietnamese government, he assured, will provide full support for CREC’s development in Vietnam.
