Recently, a slab concrete vibrating robot jointly developed by CREC Investment Qingdao Metro Line 5 Project Department, China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group Qingdao Metro Line 5 Civil Works Section II-02 Project Department, and other units has been put into application in metro construction.
For a long time, concrete vibration work has relied on manual labor, which involved challenges such as high labor intensity, low construction efficiency, difficulties in quality control, and high safety risks. Manual vibration often led to quality defects such as honeycombing, rough surfaces, and voids, which could compromise the strength of concrete structures and increase maintenance costs later on.
The newly developed robot features intelligent parameter settings, allowing precise adjustment of vibration time, depth, frequency, and amplitude. It is capable of automatic walking, turning, and vibrating, thereby avoiding missed vibration issues in manual operations. With both intelligent and lightweight design, it is equipped with a visual display, supports remote control, 5G connectivity, and cloud data management, enabling full-process visual monitoring and requiring only one operator for remote management. Powered by a new energy lithium battery, it has an endurance of up to four hours, ensuring continuous construction capacity. It also provides zero pollution and low noise advantages. It is suitable for various construction environments such as housing projects and municipal engineering.
The China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group project department took the lead in applying this equipment at Yan’an Second Road Station, Changle Road Station, and the Yanchang section of Qingdao Metro Line 5. The initial inspection of inverted arch concrete achieved the construction unit’s Class A standard, demonstrating excellent stability and adaptability.
