Recently, four circular pipe-jacking machines manufactured by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group under China Railway Hi-Tech Industry, a subsidiary of CREC, were successfully rolled out at the Zhengzhou base for export to Dubai. They will soon be applied to the construction of the Dubai DS415 Project.
The Dubai DS415 Project is a sewage tunnel project planned by the Dubai Municipality, with a total tunnel length of approximately 7 kilometers. In response to the geological conditions and varying tunnel diameters, China Railway Engineering Equipment Group innovatively designed four expandable circular slurry pipe-jacking machines. These machines can meet excavation requirements for seven different tunnel diameters, allowing a single machine to excavate tunnels of multiple diameters. This not only meets diverse construction demands but also significantly reduces the cost and time of equipment replacement, providing strong support for efficient project advancement.
The Dubai DS415 Project covers several flood-prone areas east of the Dubai Canal. Upon completion, it will significantly improve regional drainage and sewage discharge capacity, effectively alleviating waterlogging, supporting better transportation and environmental conditions, and ensuring the efficient operation of Dubai’s municipal infrastructure.
