Recently, the first segment of the Ziyang Tuojiang Grand Bridge in Ziyang, Sichuan Province, undertaken by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group under CREC with participation from China Railway Hi-Tech Industry, was successfully hoisted into position.
The Ziyang Tuojiang Grand Bridge is a key control project of the Chengdu–Dazhou–Wanzhou Railway and a priority project under the implementation plan for the Yangtze River Economic Belt high-speed railway corridor. Located in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, it is a concrete rigid-frame, low-pylon hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 622 meters and a span arrangement of 42+109+320+109+42 meters. The bridge adopts a single-box, double-cell steel box girder structure, consisting of two steel–concrete composite segments and seven standard steel box girder segments. The segment successfully hoisted this time is one of the steel–concrete composite segments, weighing 698 tonnes, with high hoisting difficulty and stringent precision requirements.
Upon completion, the bridge will further enhance regional transport capacity and service levels. It will be of great significance for Sichuan Province in opening up a direct high-speed railway corridor to the Yangtze River Delta and the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei economic region, promoting resource development along the route, fostering high-quality local economic development, and building a rail-based Chengdu–Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle.
